Weapons and defenses are official Build and Kill Zombies part categories, but the developer’s public description does not supply a complete item list or stats. Choose them by the problem they solve: reaching zombies, surviving contact, protecting a critical component, or keeping the car controlled after impact.
Compare by job
Mount direction before rarity
A powerful item facing away from the route is not useful. Use the builder’s rotation prompt and inspect the leading edge from the driver’s view. If the item has a firing direction or contact surface, confirm it against one early zombie group.
Do not infer direction from the inventory icon. Leave placement, start a low-risk test, and watch what touches or activates. Record the result before adding a second weapon.
Protect the components that end the run
Place defense around the actual failure point. If the front connector breaks, reinforce or reposition it. If power or fuel is exposed, move it behind the leading edge. If the whole car flips, more armor may worsen the issue; fix balance first.
The official description confirms defenses but not their individual effects. A piece that looks armored may have another role. Use the live text and an observed comparison rather than naming hidden durability.
Test the cost of offense
Weapons can add useful kills while changing mass, control, fuel use, or support requirements. Run the same route without the new item, then with it. Compare visible kills, distance, stopping reason, vehicle condition, and Cash.
If Cash rises despite a modest distance loss, the weapon may suit farming. If it destroys control or prevents reaching zombie groups, it is not helping that build. The Best Car Build keeps the goal explicit.
Currently documented names
Current same-game walkthroughs repeatedly show a starter weapon called Shredder. Its presence is community corroborated, but rarity, damage, exact source, and permanent starter status are not frozen here. Treat the current item panel as the source for those fields.
Other names seen on fan pages should not enter a permanent list until the exact Place, current UI, and effect can be checked. Similar zombie-car games reuse generic weapon language, so identity matters.
Support slots and skills
Some current guides describe support capacity as upgradeable. Before planning multiple weapons, inspect the current Skills menu and builder warning. Owning an extra item does not guarantee the car can equip it.
Buy a capacity node only when an additional verified weapon or defense has a clear role. An empty slot is not a problem by itself. The Skill Tree and Best Skills pages help compare the purchase against fuel, power, or acquisition needs.
Event and boss loadouts
The King 1x1x1x1 badge confirms a boss entity, not the optimal weapon. Do not publish HP, phase damage, or a solo build without a reproducible current fight. Save the normal car and make an event variant so a failed experiment does not erase progression.
Record whether the event rewards damage, contact, survival, participation, or team credit. The King boss guide clearly marks what is official and what still needs a live test.
Safe part record
Capture displayed name, category, rarity, source, cost, description, mount direction, slot use, checked date, and one observed effect. Unknown numbers stay empty. Do not use scripts or external executors to inspect or modify the vehicle.
When an update changes the item, preserve the old observation with its date and test again. A visual rework does not prove a stat change, and a new stat does not prove the mount rule stayed the same.
Confidence
Weapons and defenses are Official categories. Individual uses, the Shredder identity, front-mount practice, and support behavior are Community reported or corroborated as of September 25, 2026; numerical values remain needs in-game testing.
